Electronic scientific and practical journal

The Main Purpose of the Restrictions

The primary goal of introducing these restrictions is to prevent the artificial inflation of citation indices through self-citation and cross-citation.
We believe that most of our authors do not use questionable practices, so these restrictions will not affect the majority of them.

1. Publication Limit per Issue

No more than two articles by the same author (in any authorship composition) may be published in a single issue.

If you need to publish more than five articles quickly, we recommend combining some of them or moving part of the materials to the next issue of the journal.

2. Bibliography Volume Index

The reference list should not be excessively large:
the bibliography volume index must not exceed 6.

To calculate the bibliography volume index, divide the number of references in the reference list by the total number of pages in the article.

Example 1.
The reference list contains 35 sources, and the article is 5 pages long.
The index = 35 / 5 = 7 (greater than 6).
Therefore, the reference list is too long.
You should either reduce the number of references or increase the content volume of the article.

Example 2.
The reference list contains 15 sources, and the article is 6 pages long.
The index = 15 / 6 = 2.5 (less than 6).
Thus, the bibliography volume is within the allowed limit.

Exception:
Articles that aim to review various sources are exempt from this restriction.

3. Self-Citation Limit

Excessive references to the Electronic Scientific and Practical Journal “Intellectualization of Logistics and Supply Chain Management” are not permitted.
The self-citation rate of the journal must not exceed 30%.

To calculate this indicator, divide the number of references to the journal “Intellectualization of Logistics and Supply Chain Management” in your reference list by the total number of sources.

Example 1.
Your reference list contains 20 sources, of which 10 are from the same journal.
10 out of 20 = 50% (more than 30%).
Therefore, you must either remove some of these references or replace them with citations from other relevant sources.

Example 2.
Your reference list contains 10 sources, of which 2 are from the same journal.
2 out of 10 = 20% (less than 30%).
Thus, the self-citation limit is not exceeded, and the article complies with the restriction.

Please Note!

You do not need to calculate these indicators yourself!
Simply send us your article — our editors will gladly check everything for you.
