Electronic scientific and practical journal

1. General Provisions

The journal “Intellectualization of Logistics and Supply Chain Management” recognizes that artificial intelligence (AI) and AI-powered tools can serve as useful auxiliary instruments in the preparation of scholarly publications. At the same time, the use of such technologies must comply with the principles of academic integrity, scientific responsibility, and transparency.

2. Permissible Uses of AI

Authors may employ AI technologies in the preparation of manuscripts solely as supportive tools, including for:

  • literature search and analytical material retrieval (subject to subsequent source verification);
  • improving writing style and linguistic accuracy;
  • generating illustrative materials (schemes, diagrams, visualizations), provided they do not distort the scientific content;
  • assistance with translation or text editing;
  • preparation of technical elements of the manuscript (spell-checking, formatting).

3. Prohibited Uses of AI

The use of AI is strictly prohibited in cases where it may compromise the originality, reliability, or academic integrity of the work, including:

  • generation of scientific content (problem formulation, methodological description, results analysis) that has not been verified and validated by the authors;
  • automated creation of references or bibliographies that may result in fabricated or incorrect sources;
  • concealment of plagiarism through paraphrasing or automated rewriting of others’ texts;
  • listing AI as a co-author – AI systems cannot be recognized as authors or held accountable for scientific outcomes.

4. Disclosure Requirements

  • Authors must explicitly state in the “Acknowledgements” section or in a dedicated note which AI tools were used and for what purpose.
  • The disclosure must be fully transparent (e.g., “During manuscript preparation, the authors used Grammarly to improve language quality” or “MATLAB with AI-based analytics was used to generate graphs”).
  • Failure to disclose the use of AI constitutes a violation of academic integrity principles.

5. Authors’ Responsibility

  • Full responsibility for the content of the article, the validity of results, and the correctness of interpretations rests solely with the authors.
  • The use of AI does not exempt authors from ensuring scientific novelty, accuracy, and compliance with ethical standards.
  • In cases of detected violations of this AI policy, the editorial board reserves the right to request corrections, reject, or retract the manuscript.

6. Journal Principles

This policy has been developed in accordance with the recommendations of COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) and leading academic publishers. The journal aims to maintain a balance between innovation and academic integrity, ensuring transparency and trust in scholarly publications.
