AGREEMENT OF ADHESION (PUBLIC OFFER)
ON FREE-OF-CHARGE MANUSCRIPT PROCESSING, EDITORIAL REVIEW, AND PUBLICATION OF MATERIALS IN THE JOURNAL

Limited Liability Company “Viold”, on the one part (hereinafter referred to as the Publisher), hereby announces a public proposal (public offer) by way of accession to this Agreement concerning the free-of-charge processing of manuscripts, editorial review, and possible publication of materials on the website of the electronic scientific and practical journal “Intellectualization of Logistics and Supply Chain Management”, addressed to an unlimited number of individuals – authors, corresponding authors, and other persons who submit manuscripts to the Journal (hereinafter referred to as the Author / Corresponding Author / Person Submitting the Manuscript).
This Agreement defines the terms for manuscript submission, the procedure for editorial review, the principles of the free-of-charge publication process, open access terms, and the rules for voluntary financial support of the Journal. Voluntary support of the Journal is not a fee for submission, processing, peer review, editing, or publication of an article and does not influence editorial decisions.
KEY TERMS AND DEFINITIONS
Publisher – Limited Liability Company “Viold”, EDRPOU code 42126138, registered address: apt. 486, 5 Volodymyra Pokotyla St., Kyiv, 03158, Ukraine.
Journal – the electronic scientific and practical journal “Intellectualization of Logistics and Supply Chain Management”, operating as an international peer-reviewed scientific publication.
Journal Website – the official website of the Journal, available at: https://www.smart-scm.org/.
Author – an individual or individuals whose creative scientific activity has resulted in the creation of a manuscript.
Corresponding Author – an authorized person who represents the interests of all authors in communication with the editorial office of the Journal and confirms that they have the consent of the co-authors to submit the manuscript.
Manuscript / Article – an original result of scientific creative activity submitted to the Journal for editorial review, peer review, and possible publication.
Free-of-Charge Manuscript Processing – a set of actions performed by the Publisher and the editorial office of the Journal, which may include initial editorial assessment, verification of compliance with requirements, organization of peer review, editorial processing, assignment of a DOI where there are grounds and technical feasibility, and online publication of the accepted article. Such actions are carried out without charging authors any mandatory payments.
Diamond Open Access – an open access model under which authors do not pay for article submission, processing, peer review, editing, or publication, while readers have free access to the Journal materials.
Voluntary Support of the Journal – a voluntary financial contribution by an individual or legal entity to support the development of the Journal and its editorial, technical, organizational, and communication activities. Such contribution is not a fee for publication services, is not an Article Processing Charge, and does not create any advantages in the editorial process.
Acceptance of the Offer – full and unconditional acceptance of the terms of this Agreement by submitting a manuscript to the Journal through the communication channels provided by the Publisher or through other actions indicating the person’s intention to submit a manuscript for editorial review.
Editorial Decision – a decision of the editorial office of the Journal regarding acceptance of a manuscript, return for revision, rejection, or retraction, made on the basis of editorial assessment, the results of independent peer review, scientific quality, academic integrity, and the manuscript’s relevance to the scope of the Journal.
1.1. This Agreement is an agreement of adhesion pursuant to Article 634 of the Civil Code of Ukraine and defines the terms for submission, editorial review, peer review, and possible publication of manuscripts in the Journal.
1.2. The terms of this Agreement are the same for all persons who submit manuscripts to the Journal.
1.3. The Journal supports the principles of Open Science and operates under the Diamond Open Access model.
1.4. Starting from June 1, 2026, submission, processing, peer review, editing, and publication of articles in the Journal are free of charge for authors.
1.5. Readers have free and unrestricted access to the Journal materials in accordance with the terms of open access and licensing.
1.6. All information concerning publication policy, requirements for submission of materials, the editorial process, open access, and the possibility of voluntary support of the Journal is published on the Journal Website.
2.1. The Offer is deemed accepted from the moment a manuscript is submitted to the Journal through the functionality of the Website, by email to support@smart-scm.org, or through another official submission channel designated by the editorial office.
2.2. Submission of a manuscript means that the Corresponding Author confirms the consent of all co-authors to submit the material to the Journal and to the terms of this Agreement.
2.3. A person who does not agree with the terms of this Agreement must not submit a manuscript to the Journal.
2.4. Submission of a manuscript does not create an obligation for the Publisher to publish the article. Publication is possible only after completion of editorial review, peer review, and adoption of a positive editorial decision.
2.5. Submission of a manuscript does not create an obligation for the author to make any payments to the Publisher or the Journal.
3.1. The Publisher organizes free-of-charge processing of manuscripts submitted to the Journal in accordance with editorial policies, requirements for submission of materials, and principles of academic integrity.
3.2. Free-of-charge manuscript processing may include initial editorial review, verification of compliance with the scope of the Journal, organization of independent peer review, communication with the Corresponding Author, editorial processing, technical preparation, and online publication of the article if it is accepted.
3.3. The fact of submitting a manuscript is not an order for a paid service. The Publisher does not issue invoices to authors for submission, processing, peer review, editing, or publication of articles.
3.4. The fact of article publication is confirmed by its placement on the Journal Website. No separate certificate/act of services rendered is prepared, as the publication process is carried out free of charge.
4.1. The Journal does not charge authors mandatory payments for manuscript submission, editorial processing, peer review, editing, DOI assignment, or article publication.
4.2. The Journal does not apply an Article Processing Charge as a mandatory condition for manuscript submission or publication.
4.3. The absence of payments does not affect the scope of editorial review, the quality of peer review, or the procedure for making editorial decisions.
4.4. All manuscripts are considered on the basis of scientific quality, relevance, originality, academic integrity, and compliance with the scope of the Journal.
5.1. Any individual or legal entity may voluntarily support the development of the Journal by making a financial contribution to the account of the company that provides organizational and technical support for the development of the publication.
5.2. Voluntary support of the Journal is directed toward ensuring editorial assistance, technical support of the Website, preparation of materials for publication, digital archiving, information promotion, development of English-language communication, and enhancement of the Journal’s international visibility.
5.3. Voluntary support is not a fee for manuscript submission, peer review, editing, or article publication.
5.4. Voluntary support is not a condition for manuscript consideration, does not guarantee publication, does not accelerate peer review, and does not influence the content of reviews, editorial conclusions, or decisions on acceptance, revision, or rejection of a manuscript.
5.5. Information about the possibility of voluntary support of the Journal is published on the “Support the Journal” page of the Journal Website.
5.6. Payment details, payment purpose, and other technical conditions for making a voluntary contribution may be provided on the Journal Website or by the editorial office upon request.
6.1. Editorial decisions are made independently of financial, organizational, partnership-related, or other factors that are not related to the quality and integrity of the manuscript.
6.2. No voluntary financial support of the Journal creates for an author, institution, partner, or any other person the right to demand acceptance, expedited consideration, or publication of a manuscript.
6.3. The editorial office has the right to reject a manuscript at any stage if it does not comply with the scope of the Journal, submission requirements, principles of publication ethics, academic integrity, or the appropriate level of scientific quality.
7.1. The Publisher has the right to conduct an initial editorial selection of manuscripts and to refuse further consideration of materials that do not comply with the scope, requirements, or policies of the Journal.
7.2. The Publisher has the right to organize independent peer review of manuscripts and to engage editors, reviewers, technical specialists, and other persons necessary to ensure the operation of the Journal.
7.3. The Publisher has the right to establish, amend, and publish editorial policies, requirements for submission of materials, publication ethics rules, rules for the use of artificial intelligence, and other documents of the Journal.
7.4. The Publisher has the right to reject a manuscript if it contains plagiarism, data falsification, citation manipulation, inaccurate information, undisclosed conflicts of interest, infringement of third-party rights, or other violations of academic integrity.
7.5. The Publisher has the right to carry out stylistic, linguistic, visual, and technical editing of materials within the framework of editorial preparation.
7.6. The Publisher undertakes to ensure that submission, processing, peer review, editing, and publication of articles are free of charge for authors in accordance with the published policy of the Journal.
7.7. The Publisher undertakes not to link editorial decisions to the fact of providing or not providing voluntary support to the Journal.
7.8. The Publisher undertakes to provide authors with accurate information concerning manuscript submission conditions, editorial policies, and the operating rules of the Journal.
8.1. The Author has the right to submit a manuscript to the Journal without paying any mandatory fees.
8.2. The Author has the right to receive information concerning the editorial status of the manuscript within the procedures established by the editorial office of the Journal.
8.3. The Author has the right to withdraw the manuscript before its publication by submitting a written request to the editorial office.
8.4. The Author is obliged to submit an original manuscript that does not infringe third-party rights, principles of academic integrity, or the requirements of the Journal.
8.5. The Corresponding Author is obliged to provide accurate information about all authors, their affiliations, contact details, contributions to the preparation of the manuscript, and potential conflicts of interest.
8.6. The Corresponding Author confirms that all co-authors have reviewed the manuscript, agree to its submission to the Journal, and accept the terms of this Agreement.
8.7. The Authors are responsible for the content of the manuscript, the accuracy of the data, the correctness of citations, compliance with ethical standards, and the lawful use of third-party materials.
9.1. Editorial review of a manuscript is carried out within the timeframe necessary for proper assessment of its compliance with the Journal requirements, organization of peer review, and preparation of an editorial decision.
9.2. Approximate review timeframes may depend on the subject matter of the manuscript, the complexity of peer review, the speed of communication with the authors, the workload of the editorial office, and other objective factors.
9.3. The Journal does not guarantee publication of a manuscript in a specific issue before a final positive editorial decision is made.
9.4. The Publisher has the right to change the schedule for publishing issues of the Journal, the publication frequency, and the volume of issues for organizational or technical reasons.
10.1. By submitting a manuscript to the Journal, the Corresponding Author confirms that the authors have consented to the processing of personal data necessary for editorial review, peer review, publication, archiving, and indexing of materials.
10.2. The Publisher may process authors’ personal data indicated in registration forms, manuscripts, cover letters, email correspondence, and other materials related to the editorial process.
10.3. The Publisher takes necessary measures to protect the confidentiality of personal data and materials submitted to the Journal in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine and the editorial policies of the Journal.
10.4. Information that has already been publicly disclosed by the authors or is available from open sources is not considered confidential.
11.1. Copyright in articles published in the Journal belongs to the authors.
11.2. By submitting a manuscript to the Journal, the authors grant the Publisher the right to perform editorial processing, technical preparation, placement, storage, archiving, dissemination, and indexing of the article if it is accepted for publication.
11.3. Published articles are disseminated in accordance with open access standards and the licensing terms defined by the Journal, in particular Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0), unless otherwise stated on the Journal Website.
11.4. Authors are responsible for obtaining permissions to use materials whose rights are owned by third parties.
12.1. The Parties shall be liable for non-performance or improper performance of their obligations in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine.
12.2. The Publisher is not liable for the content, accuracy of data, conclusions, and statements made by authors in published materials.
12.3. The Authors bear full responsibility for the content of the manuscript, compliance with academic integrity, correctness of citation, and lawful use of data, illustrations, tables, methods, and other materials.
12.4. The Publisher does not guarantee indexing of articles in specific international scientometric databases, repositories, or other systems owned by third parties.
12.5. If substantial violations are detected after publication, the Publisher has the right to initiate corrections, an expression of concern, retraction, or other editorial actions in accordance with the policies of the Journal.
13.1. The Parties shall be released from liability for partial or complete non-performance of obligations if such non-performance is caused by force majeure circumstances.
13.2. Force majeure circumstances may include, in particular, military actions, terrorist acts, emergencies, natural disasters, server failures, failures of telecommunication networks or power grids, unlawful actions of third parties, cyberattacks, or other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the Publisher.
13.3. The timeframe for performing the relevant actions shall be extended for the period during which such circumstances continue or for another reasonable period after their termination.
14.1. The Publisher has the right to amend this Agreement, editorial policies, requirements for submission of materials, and other documents of the Journal by publishing a new version on the Journal Website.
14.2. The version of the Agreement and editorial policies in force at the time of manuscript submission shall apply to legal relations connected with a specific manuscript, unless otherwise expressly stated on the Journal Website or required by law.
14.3. A person who continues to use the Journal Website or submits new manuscripts after publication of amendments is deemed to have reviewed the updated terms.
15.1. Matters not regulated by this Agreement shall be interpreted in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine and the editorial policies of the Journal.
15.2. In the event of disputes or disagreements, the Parties shall seek to resolve them through negotiations and consultations.
15.3. If pre-trial settlement of a dispute is impossible, the Parties have the right to apply to a court in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine.
